Krishna : The Blue God

Neela (blue) as a metaphor of bliss augments the mystic experience that Krishna is.  Krishna an embodiment of joy, that is sublime and eternal, is cast in the infinite blueness of eternity.

In Bharatanatyam there are dance pieces focusing exclusively on shudha nrutha (pure dance), nrithya (abhinaya or expressions) or both.  Neela varnam explores the nrithya aspect of Bharathanatyam.
